What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

The Application obtains the information you provide when you download and register with the SCESCT UP portal. Registration with us is required to participate in member welfare and sahyog programs.

When you register and use the Application, you generally provide:

• (a) Your name, EHRMS code, mobile number, email address, date of birth, gender, blood group, department, post, and posting district/block;
• (b) Nominee details (nominee name, relation, and contact phone number);
• (c) Transaction-related information, such as when you submit membership fee receipts or sahyog contribution verification details;
• (d) Information you provide when contacting our committee or support team for assistance.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of device you use, device unique ID, IP address, your operating system, browser type, and diagnostic access timestamps to ensure the security of account logins.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location?
This Application does not collect precise GPS real-time location information of your device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained?

Only aggregated, anonymized data or necessary verification parameters are used to ensure valid member identification and mutual sahyog processing. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways described below:

• As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
• When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, ensure user safety, investigate fraud, or respond to government requests;
• With authorized payment gateway service providers (e.g., Razorpay) adhering to standard banking data security regulations.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop collection of information by discontinuing use or requesting account deactivation. You may request account opt-out by emailing us at privacy@scesctup.in.

Data Retention Policy

We will retain member registration and contribution data for as long as you maintain membership with SCESCT UP and for a reasonable statutory period thereafter for transparent audits and member record verification.

Security

We are committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We limit access to authorized committee members and administrative personnel who need to know that information in order to operate and maintain the platform. We implement standard encryption and password hashing protocols.
